Interesting and insightful. Actually, there are some interview questions recruiters need to stop asking. Job seekers are prepared for questions like, “Are you a team player?” or even “What is your biggest weakness?” Are they really going to answer in a way that will give you insight into their working style? They want the job and know how to answer. It is crucial that the interview helps sift out the right fit.
As we built our start up, we needed to find people that were switched on, but that we felt we could trust immediately.
Most people’s resumes will read as having capability / competency in their chosen field, so we need to understand the PERSON in the interview setting. We generally get a feel for this within the first minutes of the interview.
